Prejuniors: Music & Nature Appreciation

What a beautiful morning! Everyone was in a cheery mood and excited to get on our yearly music appreciation trip. There were 39 members all waiting patiently at the church as the bus was late.

Off we went on the bus after a prayer to God for journey mercy. Lt Karen as usual, loves to be among the kids even though it meant sitting on the floor.

Watch out for ALIENS!!!!!    We are all going to meet the aliens from Planet X at the Dewan Filharmonik Orchestra. The concert titled "Alien from Planet X" is designed for students and teachers to get to know more about classical music. This time round, our conductor Alain Trudel introduced us to classical pieces which has some hints of drums from South America, Jazz, Cowboy rhythm and even instruments which are non musical like the typewriter. The kids had fun watching how the Aliens tried to interfere with the orchestra and especially when they played the typewriter part.

One hour went very fast and we had to say goodbye to the aliens. However, everyone was looking forward to have their lunch. Lunch stop was at "Chinoz on the Park". It is a beautiful, sleekly designed modern brasserie overlooking the KLCC fountain and park. Manager and staffs were all very kind and friendly to us and we had a great feast of pasta, chicken, orange juice and dessert of ice cream and brownies. It was a treat for all of us and the kids were so grateful that they made thank you cards to the Chinoz staffs.

After a hearty meal of refillable pasta and yummy dessert, we headed for Aquaria. It was a nice walk and we had a pleasant surprise when the fountain was turned on just as we walked pass.

Sea life in Aquaria, here we come!!!!!

OOOOOoooooo! What a gigantic and wonderful creation of God!  So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, .......Genesis 1:21

Finally, the last stop....the playground before we catch the bus back to church.

Despite the back aches and the tiredness felt by the adults, it was all worth it to see the smiles and happiness on the prejunior members and the loud echo of " YES!!! We want to do it again."  ............Thanks to God for His protection and blessings.
