Junior & Prejunior : Invitation to Parenting Talk 14th May

"You don't understand me."
"Ehm...ah....uuh?"

Parents,

Having problem communicating with your children? Well, the way you listen to and respond to your children will strongly influence how they will respond back to you and how they will feel about your respond, such as wanting to continue talking, feeling turned off or understood, tensed or relaxed, ect.

· True listening build co-operation, trust and understanding in a relationship.

· Listening is a way to acknowledge someone important and eventually increase self-esteem of the other.

· Listening is a skill and can be learnt.

Come and join us for a session talk on Parenting and Listening , where we learn to improve skill in active listening and responding to the talker through attending, paraphrase, reflecting, summarization to enforce mutual understanding and hence improve relationship. We assure you that this will be a FUN session.

In brief, we will work on the following:
1. Attending
2. Paraphrase
3. Reflecting
4. Summarization

We hope that after the training, we will be able to say:

"I am now a more supportive parent because I can hear beyond the spoken words."
" My children can openly suggest ideas and share thoughts with me. "
" I can guide them better in the challenges that they are going thru."
